  • Particulate matter (PM), particle number (PN) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions are widely discussed conerning ambiant air quality. Over the past decades, PM and NOx emissions were reduced significantly and most immission limits are currently either kept or within reach. What appears to be good news at first sight, shows further need for reducing particulate matter immissions, especially PM2.5, since the immission limits are considered outdated. Since PM2.5 is considered more dangerous for human health than NO2, this contribution shows current issues associated with PM2.5 immission measurements.
