How to find us - Applied Mechanics (AME)
The Applied Mechanics group and the rheology lab are located on the second floor of building no. 50.31. This building is in the northeast of the Mensa. We are looking forward to your visit!
By train
Arriving at the station in Karlsruhe, take tram (S-Bahn) number S4 (direction Bretten) or tram S2 (direction Wolfahrtsweier) which depart in front of the main entrance. Get off at “Durlacher Tor/KIT-Campus Süd”. Follow street “Adenauerring”. (On the left, there is the main entrance to the university.) But please go straight the “Adenauerring” and turn right to street “Am Fasanengarten”. On the left, you will see a parking sign. Please turn to the left. We are in building no. 50.31 on the second floor (address: Gotthard-Franz-Straße 3, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany).

By car
Karlsruhe is situated between Frankfurt (Main) and Basel. Please take highway no. A 5, exit at Karlsruhe-Durlach, direction Stadtmitte. Then follow street “Durlacher Allee” until reaching “Durlacher Tor”-square. (You will pass a huge church which is on the right hand). Turn to the right on street “Adenauerring” (follow the sign “stadion”). (On the left, there is the main entrance to the university.) But please go straight the “Adenauerring” and turn right to street “Am Fasanengarten”. On the left, you will see a parking place. Please turn to the left. You can leave your car in the garage (charged) or at the parking place next to our institute. We are in building no. 50.31 on the second floor (address: Gotthard-Franz-Straße 3, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany).
