GPS Group
The research group Gas-Particle Systems deals with the handling of gas-particle systems, as well as with methods for the investigation, measurement and adjustment of material and functional particle properties. Current topics of our research are gas cleaning, the behaviour of reactive particle systems, the further development of particle measurement technology and adaptronics in gas-particle filter technology, the formation and separation of droplet aerosols as well as the measurement and reduction of fine and ultra-fine dust. Applications of gas-particle systems can be found, for example, in energy technology, automotive engineering, the separation of product aerosols or in environmental protection. Our strategy combines explorative and basic research with application-oriented technology development. Online measurement methods play an essential role in this context.
